What areas of the body can be treated with Exilis?
Generally, the face, neck, jowls, abdomen, arms, and thighs have fat pockets that Exilis can readily treat. However, Exilis is not a substitute for weight loss and does not prevent weight gain. Exilis is designed to help with subtle body contouring in someone close to their ideal body weight.
What does Exilis treat?
What can I expect during and after Exilis treatment?
Exilis requires no numbing, and is relatively painless. For treatment with Exilis, you will have a grounding pad placed on the skin opposite of the area being treated. A wand will be massaged over the treatment area in order to deliver both heat and ultrasound waves deep within the skin. The Exilis wand heats to a preset temperature (between 105-109°F) then automatically cools the skin to prevent injury. The procedure lasts 15-20 minutes.
Immediately after treatment, your skin can look red and feel slightly warm, but not painful. Rarely there may be a bruise. Generally, you will be advised to drink plenty of water after your procedure to help your kidneys flush out the destroyed fat cells. Normal activities may be resumed the same day.
When will I see results from Exilis?
Usually, you can see subtle results from Exilis after 1-2 treatments. However, it takes time for the full effects on collagen in the skin to be realized, so expect continued improvements in the treatment areas for 3-6 months after Exilis treatment. Generally, we recommend 5-6 treatments with Exilis per treatment area.
